On Friday 24th April, two of our owners Rob and Paul and our Head of Night Operations Danny made the brave decision to abseil down the UKs tallest sculpture, the Arcelor Mittal Orbit in the Olympic park for Springboard KickStart Programme.
This is the UK’s highest freefall abseil at a staggering 262 feet and Rob, Paul and Danny took on one of the defining structures in recent Olympic history set within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford.
All funds raised go toward Springboard’s KickStart Programme, which supports school and college leavers on their path to employment within the hospitality industry.
"We help young, unemployed and disadvantaged people to improve their lives through employment"
The Springboard Charity helps young people achieve their potential, nurtures unemployed people of any age into work, and helps alleviate poverty by supporting disadvantaged people into sustainable employment within hospitality, leisure and tourism.
Springboard equips people with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to achieve their potential
They have so far raised £575, you can still donate at: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=ACT_Clean&isTeam=true.
